Probably a silly question, but did you already have the tires checked for balance or out of round?

Why does my jeep vigorously shake after either going over 50mph or a bump n i'm not talkn about a vibration plz help...tie rods, sway bars, track/control arm, new tires,4x alignment, pwr steer pump

I had the same problem with mine, if u look on the drivers side there is a bracket bolted to the frame that the drag link hooks too. If this bracket is cracked or broken or bolts have come loose or fallen out, your front end will go crazy after htting a bump at any speed over say 25 mph.

I own a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd. When I am driving on the freeway at 70 mph or faster my front wheels and my steering wheel begin to shake back and forth almost causing me to lose control whenever I...

The part you are looking at is the steering damper. It can be damaged by repeated shaking but won't cause it.
Likely the condition you have is caused by bad lower ball joints.
The lowers have no grease fittings and as such, fail earlier than the uppers. There are other causes but happen less often. Your track bar mount can wear oblong, overall cumulative wear of all front end parts can produce enough side to side play to do that or the wheels may not be torqued down exactly to specifications. In extreme cases where all is good but the shaking continues, you can have additional caster adjustment added to the alignment specs. I am assuming that your tires are properly balanced?

I have a 2002 jeep wrangler that seems to start shaking at 60mph below or over ok. It is not major but noticeable. Where do I start looking? Thanks Dan

Grab hold off the prop-shaft to see if it is quite solid, it could be a worn UJ. Check the balance weight on the same shaft to ensure it hasn't slipped forward or backwards on the shaft.
Then get wheels checked, they could need re-balancing.

Our 89 Jeep cherokee took a shot in the passenger front tire in an accident. Now at certain speeds the front end begins to shake drastically.

First thing to check is air pressure,
Second is to have that wheel put on a spin balance machine to see if the tire's steel bend shifted,or the wheel got bent,or a weight came off.
If all those check out,Then check the steering for any loose parts,
The last is check the front alignment.

Power steering leaks.

it is not a power steering issue.

you NEED to have a fornt end alignment done, and replace the fron shocks while you do it.

I've had this experience and it can rattle your bones as well as your car.

Have it done ASAP, your safety, as well as other drivers depends on what you do, and when you do it.

I hope this helps.

2007 jeep wrangler shakes uncontrollaby after

When you say shakes i am guessing the steering wheel. If it is the steering wheel shaking, it's know as the death wobble. Check the front steering components, look for worn or broken parts. Most common for death wobble are the tie rod ends, idler arm and pitmen arm. look for play along the track bars and check the ball joints. The other thing too that will cause a death wobble is a bad alignment. there may be negative or no caster at all which would give you a death wobble. Check all of the above and keep me posted. Good luck and be safe

Jeep grand cherokee shakes between fifty and sixty also while bra

you have a warped rotor which is causing ball joint.tie rod end.idler arm(if equipd) probs.bad rotor caused by sticking caliper which over heated and warped rotor.and also bad tire or wheel or both.put the wheel on a balancer and see if its bent or if tire has belt blister.replace rotor, caliper, wheel bearings and ball joint and any other loose or worn susp/steering gear.if you just replce rotor , going to happen again but worse damage.poss breaking pwr brake booster from vibration. gino R

Front end of my 87 jeep cherokee shakes bad when i hit a bump

May check your ball joints and tie rods. Also could be your shocks.
Does it seem like its more shaking on the left or right? or even?
