Question about 2005 Buick Rainier
In the fuse box under the hood, swap relay #45 with relay #46. Both are the same relay, one for the lowbeams and the other is for the fan. You should have lights now. Clean the contacts on the relay and in the fuse box very well. Very common problem, suprised the dealer didn't catch this.
So, next time this happens, swap them out to see if the lights go back on. I keep a new relay in my glovebox just in case. But since cleaning mine 2years ago, hasn't happend again.
