It sounds like the computor needs reflashed, a deal or garage could do this.

Have replaced the battery on a nissan almera tino and now it won't start. It turns over OK but will not fire.

I changed the battery as it was struggling to start over a few days and then died completely after being left over a weekend. After the replacement all electrics worked but the engine wouldn't turn over, it just clicked. There was no immobiliser warning or messages on the screen. I tried a few of the things on this forum but it turned out to be a broken battery earth cable where it attaches to the gearbox under the car. I removed the cable (easier with the battery tray removed) then had a new lug attached to the end. Total cost 1.50. phew!

Desperate help needed with immobiliser on 2006 Almera

This is quite an easy problem haha. I am currently doing my remote start for the same car right now and I know that issue you are having. After 1 or two full failed attempts to start your car the ECU knows not to turn on because it is locked. You have to put the key in the key cylinder, turn it to the on position but don't start the car, then count to 5 and then turn off the car and pull out the key for 5 seconds. Do this for a total of 3 times and the system resets. As for getting rid of the immobilizer that will be unlikely due to the fact that it sends info to the ECU to authorize it to turn on the car. However, you can bypass it like I did and then you will be able to use remote start and all the other good stuff. There are 3 types of ways to bypass the immobilizer but it will cost from 30 to 50 bucks.

Hi, just a random idea: are all the cables to the plugs okay? If there is no ignition, the problem could be there.

Engine warning light on Nissan Almera 03

its very simple. You can see a black hose from the engine which connects the metal pipe. just remove it and you can see three gold color pin from the metal pipe. scratch that pins using a salt paper and fix it. Now check whether you get started or not. Thanks.

Hi i have a mitsubishi lancer 1.3 petrol 2006, i

wow ok i am from australia our lancers only come in a 2.0 or 2.4 i was shocked to see a 1.3 lancer
now with the key
every time you incert the key into the ignition it reads the key as there is a chip in the orignal keys so thatway the immobiliser knows thatit is safe for the car to start
if the cra can not read the key it will not let the car start evan if it is twisting to start etc
you need to go to mitsubishi and have them copy some new keys and let them reset the codes on the immobiliser if you try to do so your self it may trigger a cold shut down
this is when the immobiliser its self needs to be replaces as well as the keys
hopes this helps
