I would go with the o2 sensor and than clear the codes and read again,,o2 has alot to do with the gas air mix and the map does too ,but seeing the year of truck I would say o2 before the maf. o2 go sooner than a maf in most cases Iv seen

My check engine light is on. it is pulling 4 codes P0302 P1670 P0174 P0171

code p 0302 is a misfire on no 2 cylinder
check that the plug lead is on properly, that the lead is operational
move the injector from 2 to another cylinder and see if the misfire follows the move
code p 0174 refers to system too lean bank 2===causes intake /exhaust leak---fuel pressure / pump---injector/s--AIR system--hose connection/s
code p 0171 refers to system too lean bank 1=== causes intake /exhaust leak---AIR system---MAF/VAF sensors---fuel pressure / pump---injector/s -- HO2S
You stated that you replaced the O2 sensor but that is different to the HO2S sensor , does a different job and controls the air/fuel mixture from the ECM
because it has banks 1 and 2 it is a v engine and you will have a HO2S in the exhaust manifold or before the cat converter for each exhaust
O2 sensors are after the cat converter and confirm the HO2S settings for the ECM
to put the lights out , use a scan tool to reset the ECM

Get codes 0171 and 0174 ihave replacedo2 senser map and fuel filter what is wrong ?

The two codes mean the computer can not make the fuel mixture rich enough to make the sensors read rich. The O2 sensors tell the computer what the fuel mixture is.
So since both sensors are saying the same thing, the problem could be low fuel pressure or something else like too much air.
Very seldom do you have two sensors fail at the same time.

WHAT IF TwO CODES COME UP 0171 and 0174?

I doubt it.
If the MAF sensor was faulty you should have a code for it too.
The most common cause for code 171 and 174 fuel mixture too lean is low fuel pressure.

PO174 AND PO171\

code p 0171 refers to system too lean bank1===causes ---intake /exhaust leaks--AIR system---MAF/VAF sensors --fuel pressure/pump--injector/S=== HO2S
code p 0174 refers to system too lean bank 2====causes intake /exhaust leak---fuel pressure/pump---injector/s---AIR system---hose connection/s
the fuel pressure is adequate
The HO2S is the heated oxygen sensor in the exhaust manifold /pipe before the cat converter
( is responsible for the fuel ratio settings )
you may have to pull the injectors to have them cleaned and tested
the maf/vaf sensor may have to be replaced as well

P0174 and p0171

Well it depends on what the problem is.
The two codes are for the fuel system being too lean on both banks. You have an O2 sensor on each bank that sends data to the computer telling it if the fuel mixture is too rich or too lean. The computer adjusts the on time for the injectors based on that and other data.
The most common reason you would get those two codes at the same time is low fuel pressure. So the fuel pressure would need to be checked along with the O2 sensors.

My '98 Ford f-150 lariat extended cab 5.4 is showing a 0171 and 0174 code. What is this? o2 sensor?

this means that bank 2 cylinder side is running to lean ( not the o2 sensors ) CHECK THE FUELINJECTORS ( RUN FUEL INJECTION CLEANER SEE IF IT GOES AWAY)

Check engine codes 97 ford exp v8 codes:0358 0171 0174

P0171 and 174 System Too Lean
Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in banks 1 and 2 detected a lean condition (too much oxygen in the exhaust).

These codes may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
•The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters may cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled. There is also an issue with some vehicles where the MAF sensors leak the silicone potting material used to protect the circuitry.
•There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor.

•In the vast majority of cases, simply cleaning the MAF sensor does the trick. Consult your service manual for it's location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling.
•Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary
•Check for a dirty fuel filter and proper fuel pressure

P0358 Ignition Coil H Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
Code P0358 is for cylinder #8.

Inspect the spark plug, coil, and coil boot on that cylinder for signs of damage. Replace as needed.

If no problems are found with the components, check the wiring harness from the coil to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

Potential Causes: Failed coil or boot
Failed spark plug
Harness problem

When they say "bank," they're referring to cylinder banks 1 or 2. Bank 1 is the passenger's side and has cylinders 1-4 on it. Bank 2 is the driver's side and has cylinders 5-8 on it.

P0171/0174 indicates that the long term fuel trims have reached a maximum (should be somewhere around 30-35%). Fuel trims are how much fuel the PCM adds or subtracts. 0171/0174 indicates that the engine is running lean, meaning that outside air is getting past the mass air sensor. The O2 sensors see this excess air and the PCM responds by cranking up fuel trims to add more fuel for that more air.

Possible solutions include:
