Question about 2002 Suzuki Esteem

1 Answer

I left my lights on, on my 2002 Suzuki Esteem and the horn was barely beeping. When I was getting a boost the postive and negative chords were placed wrong and it sparked on my battery. After that my car horn stopped barely beeping and nothing would come on. I went and bought a new battery and still nothing, how do I check the fuses to see if a fuse was blown?

I hate to say it, but you will have to go one by one. There is a box under the hood on the drivers fender with fuses, and drivers side dash, just above the kick panel. Its faces down, has a black cover on it. I really hope you didn't burn you computer, but what I would do is take your owners manual and locate the MAIN POWER fuse. It will be a high amperage probably 50-90 amps, and most likely be located under the hood in that fuse box. Usually that is what blows if you have a power spike like that. Thanks.

How to replace horn on suzuki esteem 2000

http://www.autobarn.net/wol336.html
The horn in located below the right side (passenger side) headlight. What you need to do is get a 9/32 socket or something this size, and remove the covering from under the engine compartment. So, lay down on the ground remover the (black ground cover which keeps debris from heading to the engine area) located between the tire and headlight. Once that is off suprise there is the horn.............beep beep

the horn is behind the front bumper or grille somewhere. the relay is probably behind the dash inside the vehicle. when you push the horn do you hear a ticking noise? if you do, follow the ticking noise to find the relay.(it makes the noise)if it makes the noise, it probably works and you should check the wire connection to the horn unit. it looks like a nautilus, sort of a coil resulting in one open end, pointing down.it is abou the size of your hand. if it does not make a noise it would probably be your horn fuse or your switch look at the link www.auto barn
