2003 hyundai starex mt, body vibration occurs everytime i shift the gear, (up and down) what is the ideal speed before i shift the gear for this car, thanks in advance

Hi M, Please describe in more detail what problem you are experiencing. Vibration is not correct at any speed. The gears can be changed at more or less any speed, as long as the engine maximum RPM is not exceeded and at slow speeds the engine does not labour by selecting too high a gear. Regards John

Whenever i put my jeep in four wheel drive, whether it is 4 hi or low, it makes a loud popping noise coming from underneath whenever i turn or accelerate too fast. is this a bad transfer case? and if so,...

If you are doing this on concrete, or hard dirt, most likely what is happening is that the two axles are turning at different speeds than each other. Most transfer cases are built so that the axles are always supposed to turn at the exact same speed whenever engaged in 4WD. The problem here is that, when you turn on slippery mud, your wheels are free to turn at different speeds. When you turn on pavement, they can't, and so they grind and slide over gears. I'd be really careful about using 4WD, and try and have a service shop look at it. Shouldn't be more than $50 for a checkup, and $3-500 would get you a great used one if its nibbled on the gears.

How does the overdrive work?

overdrive is a switch on the automatic shifter (normally)which selects the overdrive gear ,changes gear ratio so yuo will be doing less rpm at high speed, leave it off at low speed

I have a 2004 mazda rx-8 6 speed manual transmission...i am having a real hard time shifting into gears...sometime it won't even bulge into gear, and that's when i have to use excessive forces just to put...

You need to check the clutch hydraulics i.e. the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder for their function, even if its cable operated try to adjust it so as it opens the clutch fork a little more to allow the clutch plate to be free, thus easy selection of gears.
If this fails thn you will have to replace the pro-kit i.e. clutch plate, pressure plate and release bearing.
Hope this helps!

Blower malfunctioning

Blower speeds in most cars (well, maybe not BMW) is set using a primitive resistive device with two (sometimes only one) end connections and 2 or 3 'taps' between them. The selector switch chooses either the input tap (high speed) or one of the other taps to introduce a fixed resistance in series with the fan motor.
Today, it would be a simple matter (and I don't doubt it is done) to create a very simple electronic circuit to replace the venerable resistor with much lower losses and little heat generation whereas the resistor does dissipate heat while 'wasting' the undesired voltage.
I think that your car has an electronic control that is either failing or the switch that selects the speed has gone 'noisy' and is randomly selecting the speed on its own. Without having the car physically at hand to measure a few things, it would be hard to separate the culprit from the rest.

Ford transmission 86 4wd will not shift to high gear

It is hard to say from your description what the problem is ... could be linkage issue ... could be trans is going as is with the other poster ...
Losing overdrive. Clutches (bands/clutches) have had it. Be careful driving without that top gear ... doing too high a speed without the appropriate gear causes extra stress on your engine that could accelerate further problems. Try to do only driving at a low enough speed that the top gear is not missed ... will help the vehical last as long as possible.
