Question about 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee

C heck eng lite

Check eng lite on with ign off & off with ign on, will not start

    Sounds like bad pcm shorting power....Did something happen to it ie flood or crash?

Well the only thing i know that happened to it was it ran hot (really hot) enough to lock up the engine .I replaced the engine could not get fire to the ignition since.All wiring have been checked to the best of my ability.The pcm was the next suspect of the ploblem .Gonna try a new one 2morrow,wish me luck.Thanks for the suggestion.ill let you know what happens.

Eng lite on after timing belt change and chugging


Guessing that all that was done correctly, maybe you need spark plugs or wires? Maybe coils? If your car has close to 100K and they have never been changed you may want to start there.

check all your wires. but i think you have a bad ign switch. where the key goes

Eng turn over but will not fire, had check engine


you will need a scanner tow to advanced or checker and have them scann it , or get a little starting fluid and shoot it in the air intake and see if it fires if not you have ign. trouble

check the ground on the back of the engine. had this problem myself

It turns over but wont start


You need to look at why no ign. Check for loose wires back to the eng. control module. See if you have spark at the plugs aqnd power at the coils.
