Question about 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee

1 Answer

I have a 2006 grand cherokee. Sometimes without warning when I come to a stop (after driving with no lights, warning, etc.) My truck hesitates when I accelerate. The rpm's go all the way up, and my truck doesnt speed ip right away. I then turn it off, and back on, and its perfectly fine until it happens again (1day, or 1month later) I have taken it to numerous mechanics, and nobody can find anything wrong. Recently, the jeep dealer told me to replace the shift moduale (the park, reverse, neutral, drive thing). I spent $700 and a few days later the same thing happened. I dont know what else to do. Please help.

Could be a bad idle control valve. causing idle surge and rise and stick open to allow a large vacuum leak in your manifold which would cause those Symptoms of rough acceleration and loss of power similar to a missfire.

I have a 2006 grand cherokee the engine light is on and it has hesitation while driving and has turned off when i stopped what's my problem

The engine light only tells you that there's a problem. You need to get the code from the computer. Most auto parts places will read your code for free. That may tell you what part needs to be replaced.

Both malfunction indicator light and electronic throttle control warning light is burning after I had my 2006 jeep crd overland serviced. The car is losing power wile driving. What do I need to solve

have the fault codes read and replace the faulty units. Ask the service person if they pressure cleaned the engine as that quite often causes problems with water getting into the connections and shorting out

What is the warning light that looks like this (!) on a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee

We had that too - it was the tire pressure sensor. one or more of your tires may be low. Get them checked/inflated to proper psi and see if it goes away.

I changed the brakes on my 2006 Grand Cherokee now the warning lights will not go off. How do i reset them?

If you have sensors on your brakes, the old sensors are telling your car you haven't replaced your brakes. With every time you replace your brakes you need to replace the brake sensor too. the old sensors are warn out.

All warning lights on dash come on and all electrics stop working

The common problem with the dashes on the Jeep is contacts. Remove the cluster and try cleaning the electrical contacts with a Q-tip and alcohol replace cluster and try again.
