Oil light comes on after the car has been drove for a while when the car is idleing, also the motor is noisy when you first start it up and til it warms up a while, kinda sounds like lifters but also kinda sounds like a knocking, but if you rev the engine up some it gets a little quieter, what could the problem be?

The cheapest problem it sounds like is a bad oil pump, providing the oil level and type are correct.

1992 pajero auto temp light stuck on when motor wasn't running long when accelerating vehicle stopped then hard to start now won't start at all,

Sir if the starter is not even turning im sorry to inform your engine might be broken. Lack of oil could be the reason. I d reccomend to send to a mechanic shop inmediately.

Stop noisy engine lifters

You are probably running low on oil unless you have been dogging the engine from red light to red light then you probably stretched the push rods you can also tighten the lifters

I have a 93 Chevy Caviler that does the samething and all it it the gauge on the dash is bad and shows at an idle it has 0 psi but it still runs fine. I have drove this car for 2 years like this and nothing has happen. If your is running fine then your gauge may just be bad.

Have an 04 lancer. Oil light comes on sometimes just flickers, but only after warmed up and at an idle. driving down the road the light stays off. Oil never low and just changed with filters, brand new...

Replace the oil pressure sender. The sender is what is turning the warning light on.If you replace the oil pressure sender it should fix the flickering light problem. If it does not , the light is an indication of more serious motor killing problem. Fortunately, the sender is under $10 and usually fails before the actual oil pump.

I have some noisy hydrulic lifters that just started. They are only noisy when the engine is cold or it has sat for more than 5 or 6 hours. Willa synthetic oil or oil additives help with this? The truck as...

What you want to do is find a shop that sells BG products. Ask them for part number 210 (engine flush) & part number 110 (MOA ((motor oil additive)) ) . First install the oil flush and moa into your oil filler and run motor for 30 min AT IDLE. Now drain the oil from the crank case and install new filter and castrol 5w30 non synthetic oil. Then run the motor for 15 minutes AT IDLE. Now drain that oil and install new filter. Now goto part store and get MOBIL 1 0w30 and preferably a factory GM oil filter. Install the oil and filter and put one more can of MOA into crankcase. We do this service at our shop ($250). You can do it for about $70. We suggest always using mobile 1 , it is a far superior product. The 0w40 takes no time to get to the lifter upon start up since its so light. once you reach operating temp the viscosity is factory...good luck
