Its a sealed transmission. it has a cap that screws on the transmission to add but you cant check the level. the only way is to put it on a level lift and under the transmission there are two small plugs that unscrew (metal bolts) may be allen head, cant remember exactly right now its been a while, one to drain and other about 2 or 3 inches higher that you remove and fill with fluid trough plastic cap i mentioned before till it starts draining trough the bolt hole. then you know it is level. tighen all screws and ports backup and your done.My 2007 G6 with a - crzejkr_2.png

just add half qts by half qts till fluid drains from level plug. REMEMBER ENGINE MUST BE HOT AND RUNNING ON.
IF YOUR DRAINING CHANGING FILTER AND REFILING FROM NOTHING WARM ENGINE UP ON OLD FLUID THEN START PROCEDURE.

I have a 2007 toyota 4runner V6. I can't find the transmission fluid dipstick

There is no transmission fluid dipstick!! This model- 2007 4Runner does not have one. It has a fill plug on the side of the transmission itself, near the top. Kind of like what a pumpkin rear end has where you fill it to the top of the plug. Same type of thing. The dealer does not want you messing with the transmission at all. My son accidently drained the Tranny fluid, thinking it was the oil plug. They told me to measure exactly how much was drained, and replace that exact amount of fluid into the fill plug. I had to buy a fluid pump!!! They warned to use only their fluid (Which I found is nothing special) and also to make sure that it was filled with the exact amount.

How to fill transmission fluid in mkz

Through the dipstick fluid level checker, if you have one. Some newer cars don't even have a transmission fluid checker dipstick. If yours doesn't have the dipstick, check with the dealer on how to add fluid.

Hwo do you add transmission fluid to a pontiac g6

On the drivers side on top of the transmission, there is a red cap. Twist it off and you can fill it that way. You have to be careful though, because the only way to check the level is from underneath the car. There is no dipstick. Next to the oil drain plug, on the transmission, there is an 11mm bolt. This is the check plug. Run the vehicle to operating temperature and carefully remove the screw. You will know the transmission is full when the fluid dribbles out of the check plug.

Where do you check trans fluid level and where do you add on 2005 grand am automatic.

There are only 2 dipsticks in the engine compartment, on that engine the oil dipstick will be in the front and the transmission dipstick will be in the back by the firewall (under the windshield) remember though unlike the oil level that you check with the engine off the tranmission fluid level needs to be checked with the engine running and in park

2005 pontiac problem/?

The newer Pontiacs (& Chevy Malibus) have a sealed transmission, which means that there is no dipstick for the transmission. Consult your owner manual.

Where do i add transmission fluid to my pontiac g6 gt

You can add transmission fluid to you transmission through the transmission fluid dipstick tube. Take your time and use the right size funnel, check and dubble check to make sure you don not over fill. Over filling the transmission is just as bad as not haveing enough fluid too.
Good luck and hope this helps

Transmission Fluid. Pontiac G6. 2006

The trannsmission is a sealed unit and there is no dipstick. Check to see if you have a leak. More than likely it sounds like your low on fluid at least a 1/2 to a whole quart. Since these are sealed units it should be taken to the dealership to have looked at. If there is not any leaks then I would add 1/2 qt of tranny fluid and try driving so see if it helped. If it helped a little but the same problems are still there add another 1/2 qt. If it doesnt solve the problem then your tranny needs to be looked at.

Transmission fluid for 2007 pontiac G6 GT

This car does not have a auto trans dipstick, the level can only be checked by the dealer, this is a growing trend that started with most German cars, the filter is inside the trans pan and only needs changing every 60,000 miles.
