Question about 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier
It could be the bearings in the motor or something could have fallen down the defroster vent and it rubbing on the fan . If the motor still works OK on all speeds i would remove it from under the hood its olny 4 or 5 small nuts and a couple of connecters and you could pull it out and reach your arm in side to see if there is something in there and if not you haven't lost ant time because the motor needs to be replaced and you can get one at a junk yard for 20.oo dollars and put it back on the job takes about 15 munites with one scoket or wrench
