In some cases, it's possible to re-set the anti-theft by physically unlocking your car door with the key.
The interruption of power is a safeguard measure to ensure the car has been entered by the owner and not somehow bypassed. Using your key should reset the alarm and allow you to start the car.

2003 Buick won't start. I put a trailer wire package in and it blew a fuse. Ended up taking out the wiring and put it all back as it was. Still won't start. Odometer says error.

You disconnected the battery, and didn't properly reset the anti-theft system. Also, some Body Control Modules need to be programmed with the VIN Number of the vehicle as it is part of the immobilizer system.

Try this. It sounds like you need to reset the ECM (engine control module) and the anti-theft system.

Vehicle will not start! Replaced the battery but it will still not turn over. Oil light, battery and engine light come on when initially trying to start.

Is the security light on or flashing when trying to start the vehicle .
Anti-Theft The passive anti-theft system (PATS) consists of the following components:
  • Anti-theft indicator
  • Encoded ignition key(s) (the key contains a transponder)
  • PATS transceiver
  • Powertrain control module (PCM)
PATS will disable the vehicle from starting if there is:
  • a damaged PATS key.
  • an unprogrammed PATS key.
  • a non-encoded key (a conventional key or one that does not have any electronics).
  • damaged wiring.
  • a damaged transceiver.
  • a damaged PCM.
If it is a anti-theft system you will have to take it to the dealer .This system will keep the starter from spinning the engine .
