AMSOIL IS ASKING FOR MY ENGINE CODE FOR MY 2005 FORD CROWN VICTORIA AS TO WHETHER IT IS: 4.6L 8CYL (9) C OR 4.6L 8CYL (W)?? I HAVE LOOKED ALL THROUGH MY OWNERS MANUAL AND CANNOT FIND THIS CODE.

The engine code is the eighth digit of the vehicle's Vehicle Identification Number or VIN. The VIN is found in two places. The driver's door sill and the driver's side dashpad in the bottom corner visible through the windshield. Find the eight digit of the code--it will tell you which engine the car has.

The factory code can not be changed (unless the module is changed),-only the secondary code that the user puts in is changeable. Look for the code in the user manual, trunk, or embossed on the module itself, or you are going to have to go to the dealer. They are the only ones with the equipment to read the code from the computer.

I have a 1995 crown victoria and the turn signals stay lit and autozone said i needed a flsher. so i got a cylinder flsher and it wont fit into my fuse block properly with the fuse block cover over it. can...


For 1995 Ford Crown Victoria 4.6L SFI 8cyl, the Flasher is located: Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of pedal support bracket, mounted in fuse panel.

1996 Ford Crown Victoria 4.6L SFI 8cyl the Control Module-Ignition is located: Under hood, driver side, upper engine area, mounted on rear of fenderwell.
