Question about Saab 9

1 Answer

I have a 2003 Saab 9-5. The air conditioning fan shuts off even though the display shows it on at full blast. I took it in and they replaced the fan motor - but it is still doing the same thing.

I have a 2003 saab 93 and the cabin fan wont shut off even if the car is off and key is out, i took the fuse out in the door and that is the only way that it will shut off. What can i do to fix this?

Same thing I have a 2003 9-3 with manual controls and the fan suddenly won't shut off. Through my investigation it is the "Fan Control Resistor Module". See forums. The part number is 90512510 and it will cost around 250 bucks to DIY.

Good Luck.

My 2003 Saab 9-3 has very recently started to not want to produce cabin heat, the Automatic Climate Control (ACC) which my car is fitted with reads as though the fan is on and even on "hi" i can still...

I had the same problem. Unfortunately, I had to replace the cabin fan assembly. This cost $375 it works great now. The mechanic said he could tap the fan and make it work, but when he turned the car off and then restarted it would not work. So he replaced the cabin fan assembly.

My car fan went up to hight speed on its own. Can't turn it off anymore. Even when I turn off the car the fan keeps running. took out the maxi fuse to stop it. any suggestions? thank you

Ok 2 things. 1. The temp switch is stuck. 2.The relay for the fan is stuck. If it's the temp switch in the block it will need to be replaced. The relay can be replaced for about 15.00. Labor will be more.
