The fan switch in high position, feeds full 12 volts to the blower motor. Lower settings rout power through a blower resistor or resistor modual, usually located in the heater box under the passenger side dash. Labor guide time to replace is .5 hours. The part is 60.00 through the dealer

High blower relay or the connections that plug into it. Not able to tell you right now where it is located, but usually under the hood on passenger side near the firewall.

The fan speed not working is due to a burned out resistor that is readily available at a GM dealer. The lights being out could be a bad fuse.

1996 buick sky lark fan switch wont blow on hight setting

Might be the Resistor pack located close to the blower. It has a flat connector with 4 or 5 wires, and two small screws holding in the duct. It may be a crispy critter. It happens... The blower moves air across it to keep it cool. The blower motor may be bad as well, or possibly the fan speed switch. May very well be the fuse for the blower as well. The blower connector may be loose. Let me know what you find.

Fan switch only works on the two highest settings

the various speeds are controlled through resisters (spring-like in apperance) one of different value for each speed, none for highest speed as the power gets to the blower uninpeeded . the resistor pack should be located on the center of the firewall, held by 2 screws. thats under the hood. where the engine bay ends....

2000 Buick Century no high speed a/c fan

Check your electronic rheostat mounted in the blower duct close to the blower. Follow the wire from your blower to it. It has two screws that hold it in. Good luck and I hope this Helps! Merry Christmas!

Heater/AC Fan does not work in our 1998 Buick Century

Fan will be under dash on passengers side , Removing glove box might be needed, Gm also uses a blower resister ro control fan speeds. First check your fuse and then check and make sure your getting 12 volts to the terminal at the blower, You could have a blown fuse, a bad switch, or a bad resister , if your getting voltage to blower motor then most likely it will be the motor. These are not to difficult to change. I hope this helps, please be aware I can only guess at what the problem is from my past experience.
