How do I find the PCV valve on 2006 ford f150 xlt

PCV valve is normally located in one of the valve covers and connects to a vacuum source near the fuel intake assembly. Connecting hose is normally about 3/8 inch in diameter.

When I have to replace PCV valve

The PCV valve is only needed to be replaced when it no longer works properly. Look for the PCV valve and disconnect it from the engine and from the vacuum supply.. The valve should be clean and rattle when shook.
Symptoms of a failed PCV can be poor idle quality, oily residue in the air inlet of the intake manifold or possibly fail emissions test.

PCV valve on 2006 Suzuki Aerio sx

locating on car, or in a store?
the service manual covers this, (alldata dot com)
some cars dont have one. Like my jeep.
but they all can and will clog, that is for sure.

but on all cars. (teaching how to fish).
the PCV has 2 ends.
1 end goes to the intake plenum (vacuum source)
the 2nd end goes to the top of the valve cover (engine top cover)
it does that, to **** fumes from there, so must go there.
directly or via a hose. just look there, and see it.
some times it fits in a VC(valve cover) boot that hides it.

but is here. all the time, every day.

some of these cars have many engine choices
so not stating VIN or engine type. its all guessing.
get and FSM
http://www.scantool.net/software/alldata-diy-1-month-subscription.html

the factory FSM is expensive to the extreme.
so I post the bet source and price.

I have a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was told by an auto parts store that my Jeep with a 4.7 V8 has no PCV Valve. is this true? I've read that it's on the side of the fill tube ...nope nothing there....

Hello,

I searched pep boys, advancedauto and autozone and found no PCV valve listed for your 4.7.

I can say however that the last model Jeep (WJ) with the 4.7 had a PCV valve (cuz I owned one), and yes it was on the side of the engine.

You may also like to know that 4.0 (ZJ) Jeeps dont have PCV valves as well (cuz I owned 2) however the V8 (ZJ) V8s do have one (cuz I owned the rare 5.9).

Hope this helps.

Where is the pcv valve?

I had to clean mine and then eventually replace it. I believe it is on the passenger side near the rear of the engine on the top. You will have to remove the Hemi cover. If remove the Oil Fill cap you can remove the cover and you will find the pcv valve.
