How to reset abs light after installing new brakes

You should not have to unless you somehow messed up a abs sensor or connection. A scan tool would reset it and see which sensor is triggering the light. Also drive it for a day to make sure it doesn't go off by itself. Also check the back of the calipers where the connection is.

Replaced brakes on 1995 Ford Taurus and now ABS light is on and ABS is disabled

The ABS light only comes on because of a fault. You need the ABS control module scanned for the code that set when the light comes on. There is no RESET

How i reset abs light on chevy colorado 2005

You need a scan tool for abs this has a reset feature. Simple scan for codes this will tell what is wrong my guess is you accidentally pinch the wire to wheel speed sensor. You can reset system by following the instructions

Abs light keeps coming on after we reset it, abs system seems to work ok when light is on

You cannot just reset the light and hope that is all you need to do. You need to replace the part that is defective. Most of the time it is a wheel sensor.

The scanner you are using to reset the light should be able to tell you which one is bad.

If you live in a snow area the abs is the best help for stopping and when the light is on it is not working the way it was intended.

If you dont have an abs scanner, all you need to do is disconnect the battery. The light will reset unless the issue that set it on is still present.

Need to know how to reset the abs warning light, repairs have been made

The ABS light will stay on only when a problem exists. Once repairs have been completed and no problems exist the ABS light will go off on it's own. Take the car back to where you had the work done and have them fix it. It shouldn't cost you anything. If the ABS light was not "on" when you took the car to them, DO NOT let them charge you to fix it. They caused the problem. They can fix it. Good luck. Hope this is helpful.

Abs light stays on

No need to untill you fix it. Bad abs senser or sencers. And you need the decoding tool to reset.

Resetting abs 1999 volvo s80

I presume you don't need to worry about codes for the radio... unhook the battery for about 15 minutes and hook it back up... that should reset it.
