Question about 2001 Dodge Stratus
When you installed the timing belt back on the gears you have gotten one or more teeth out of time on the cam gears this is why it runs good on the road but badly when idling.you will have to remove the timing cover and reset the engine on #1 compression and check all the timing marks and make sure they are in the proper position.re-adjust and recheck all marks are in the proper position after rotating the motor twice.
