Question about Chrysler New Yorker
You don`t say what type of fuel system you have, carburetor or fuel injection, throttle body or port fuel injection system.this determines the type of repair.if it is port fuel injection then you cannot repair with a hose,it must be repaired with a steel line as the fuel pressure is above 30lbs pressure and rubber hose is not strong enough for the pressure.you can replace the section of line that is bad with a new steel line connected to a good section.if it`s carburetor the pressure is only about 6 to 8lbs pressure, and a hose can make the repair.if it`s throttle body then the pressure can range anywhere from 15 to about 20lbs pressure, this can be repaired with fuel injection gas hose,so you can see it makes a difference what system you have.any rubber hose used must be a fuel line hose not just any rubber hose.
