Not sure what type of gm car you have but most coolant level sensors are located in the radiator side tank(part of rad)below the rad cap.it is a single wire sensor and usually faces the motor side of the rad.you can replace the sensor and hope it stops blinking as i`ve put new sensors in cars and for some reason the light still comes but at times it will start working as intended

My low coolant light stays on on my 02 impala but the coolant is full how do I reset it?

The coolant level sensor is located on the passenger side of the radiator, just below the bottom of the battery. If the light comes on, you'll need to fill the plastic coolant tank. But you also need to remove the radiator cap and fill the radiator itself. Only open the radiator when the engine is cold. If the radiator is full, and you are positive it's full, then the sensor needs to be replaced.

Low coolant light continues to come on. The coolant is full. Reasons why?

This is a common problem and it caused by a defective low coolant light sensor. The sensor is either located in the bottom of the coolant surge/recovery tank or in the side tank of the radiator.

Low coolaant light is blinking but there is coolant in it, not running hot . Help!

This vehicle is equipped with a low radiator coolant sensor. They will give this symptom when known to be defective. Check coolant level to confirm coolant is full. Usually can be checked by unplugging to see if blinking goes out to see if its gone bad. Good luck.

My low coolant light keeps coming on the coolant is full and doesnt over heat would that be a coolant level sensor

Hello: Yes, you are correct, the sensor is normally located on the passenger side of the radiator tank. You only have to drain the cooling system down below the sensor. On some models the level sensor is in the coolant overflow tank.

My add coolant light comes on although the reservoir is full

The low coolant sensor could be stuck...this is located sometimes in the bottom of the overflow tank...(a light tap can sometimes correct) or some are located on the radiator...follow the electrical lead...as long as coolant is circulating properly...this is probably the culprit...if the sensor is on the radiator...a light tap applies too...you can disconnect periodically as this sometimes can correct...Hope this helps.

The low coolant light continues to blink on and off during driving. Any suggestions?

Check your radiator fluid level and the fluid level in the Overflow tank. Make sure the radiator is full and the over flow bottle is filled to the full mark. After doing this if the light continues you will need to locate and replace the fluid sensors.

Low collant light is on and has no leak and is full

This problem is common, if the coolant level is OK, check the "coolant sensor" and clean the plug.

Low coolant light is on with full radiator

Check the coolant top up reservoir. Low coolant sensor is usually in the overflow/reserve container.
Wash out and clean any dirt or corrosion from the sensor prong.
Refill to correct level with fresh coolant, then recheck alarm operation.
