2001 firebird is gathering water when it rains, was told that there are drain holes that need to be blown out/cleaned in order for water to drain. Not sure where these holes are?

Depends on where it's leaking. There are "weep holes" at the bottom of both doors and you have to remove the door panels to get to them. More holes in the trunk. Also it could leak around the top seals on a convertible.

Did you get this fixed yet? Mine does the same and I was told that there is a gasket that sits behing the hatch window and when it wears you have to replace.I was told that you can fix it yourself by applying a putty type substance around behind teh glass to seal out water. I haven't did anything yet.

Water collected in my dashboard and now the fan doesn't work. When I called the dealer he told me that there was a small valve that was probably clogged. I cleaned it and some of the water came out, but...

Sarah what valve did you clean? If your talking about the AC /heater fan it might be that you have leaves and pine straw clogging the drain your hood.Go to passenger side windshield..Rain water drains through the holes under wipers. If you park under trees over time the drain lines will clogg up. The drain line is under car. You can take a small pencil and gfy to drain it. But to clean it out you have to take off the part at windshield. Then you will see the valley pit where the air comes into your fan. You also will see the leaves clogging it up. You can see the drain line after you clean it running under car to drip on ground while it rains. This is what's happening to you....It gathers water while it rains because its clogged up. The water raises then goes through a air filter meant for air not water then over flows into your fan area.and then over flows into your car..Like I said...Quick fix to under car and poke a pencil up into line...Watch water drain out. To clean out you have to take it apart from top side of car at windshield wipers...Hope this helps

Leaking water into trunk/backseat floorboard, it started leaking a little over a year ago. Especially when there is hard rains. I was told by a friend that there are drains for water runoff and that those...

I think I'd take a minute and stop at an autoglass place & get their opinion on it. Sounds to me like a bad seal at base of rear window. Keeping in mind, you don't have to agree to an expensive fix, if it doesn't sound right.

How do i go about fixing my leaky sunroof if everytime it rains my car if full of water inside? whats the first step please help

Most sun roofs have drains in the 4 corners of the roofs pan. Open the roof and look in the front corners to see if you can see the drain holes. They can usually be blown through with air pressure. Then tested with water .They get clogged with tree droppings and will need cleaned out more in heavely treed locations.Because the back drains are not accessable it helps to park on a slope with the front lower than the rear of vehicle so as to use the front drains youve cleaned out.

The problem your discribbing is typical of a poor windsheild seal, not a plugged a.c drain hose.Take it to a window repair dealer to confirm this.

Water keeps filling up under passenger seat in rear of car

My 2001 passat did the same thing. my leak was coming from the door panel. Open your door and use a water hose to simulate rain water running against your window. Water should run into door and drain out of several drain holes at the very bottom of your door. Check for water leaking from the bottom of your plastic door panel. The water runs down into the door and leaks through your inner door panel seal causing water to leak inside from the bottom of your door panel and run into the floorboard instead of draining out the water hole in the bottom of your door.
