I have a 2002 dodge itrepid. the engine came on i took it in had it diagnosed they said it was my O2 censor. i had that fixed and the engine light came back on so i took it to the dealership and they said i was the pc. my car was still under warranty for the pc. they put the first on and it didnt take so they replaced it with another one. left dealership and the light came back on..Now the car shakes and when you step on the gas at time it doesent go. it seems to take a minute or so before it catches and then just takes off..to it back they said that my harness was broken and they wont fix it because they believe the didnt break it. we took it somewhere else they fixed the harness and put in a new fuel filter. after that the car keep over heating took it back in and had to get a new intake hose because the other one was erroded. we also had a full tune up done. and once again the car is shaking bad even when the car is parked it shakes and the engine light blinks. sometime the car will even back fire and thats new. even when you push on the pedal it still takes awhile for it to catch and have the car pick up speed. i have a feeling that its the computer is faulty and thats whats causing the problem, because every code that comes up we get it fixed and it never seems to solve the problem. what else can we replace and fix? and the car is getting worse as we speak...Please help me!!

It sounds like an O2 censor, If it happens when your around that speed it could be the map censor or the 02 censor. You need to go to a garage and have them hook it up to find out which 02 censor is causing it.
No I don't think so, knock sensor only work under engine load, when sensor picks up a ping or knocking, it will adjust timing, o2 sensor could be bad, and will save you fuel mileage, but a miss will also give you an o2 sensor code, running rich, have him check for cylinder miss first.
no why is it 800 bucks. i charge 150.00 at my shop for 1 o2 sensor. now there is issue's with their catilistic convertor and thats a 800 dollar job. but the deal is always crazy. something don't sound right and i would take it to a local shop to get a second opion.
replace fuel pump relay. check all fuses to ignition and pcm .make sure they are not loose. check coil wires make sure they not loose.look at battery if you have the ac delco seal battery make sure green eye still there .if its black have battery check out.
This could be an O2 sensor or sometimes with lower grade gasoline I have seen different cars act this way. If the O2 is not bad try mid to super gas or fuel system treatment/cleaner to see if there is a change. I know in my area there is mostly 10% ethanol which will lower octane. I hope this helps!
