Look under you steering column somewhere near the ignition lock(the thing you put the key in). You should see a plastic box with a bunch of wires running into it. The wires will be on a harness which unplugs from the switch. unhook the wire harness and unbolt the plastic box(the ignition switch) Install the new switch in the reverse order. Hope that helps. It shouldn't be to hard.

Hi there, I'm having difficulty fixing my galant 1994 v6 model. The electricity is not flowing properly, when I switch on the aircon, I can feel that there's a sudden jump in the electric...

Since voltage regulation is accomplished through the alternator, I would check that first. Since the computer will increase the rpms when you turn on the ac, to compensate for the engine power drain, you will experience some voltage increase.

I have replaced pcm ecm brain computers changed ignition switch and still no fire to the spark plugs also have replaced distributer with new one

Did you replace the whole distributor assembly or just the cap?
Sounds like your ignition module is not functioning, it is inside the distributor assembly.
With all that expenses, you should gone to the dealer or any mitsubishi accredit garage and have them analyze, you could have saved a lot of money, than guessing the fault.
My advise would be to bring it to your dealer and have their service computer scan the fault!
Hoipe that saves you lot of trouble and money!
Thanks for using Fixya!
