How do i take out the o2 sencer in a 97 mazda 626 4 cyl someone told me i have to heat it up with a tourch

Some of these get seized in the threads so yes you might have to heat the area around were it is threaded into the pipe to un seize it.

the shifter linkage under the car has come lose i think ....u will have to jack the car up and put on jack stand ...so u can see while u have someone move the stick so u can tell which end is lose....hope this helps......

O/d light and check engine light blinking


You can reset these codes by disconnecting the negative side of your battery, has to be the negative side, for 5 minutes and then try it. If the light comes back then you may have a problem.

Under steady acceleration, engine light goes on


Being a 95 it dosent have OBD2 so it may not store a trouble code in the computer.
From the symptoms it sounds like either, Air flow sensor, O2 sensor
The O2 will not usually cause stalling under acceleration.

the oil filter is located on the back of the engine above the cv shaft

it is your wiper switch. I just did one on my cuz car same year too. I bypassed swithch she could not afford new one I would try junk yard first

check the belt timing. could be firing early or late.

Overheating '99 Mazda 626 LX 6-cyl


Finally gave up and took to local shop where they performed a pressure test on the engine coolant system. They found a small hole in the plastic reservoir which had to be replaced. Issue now resolved – thanks!

Regular is fine. I have a 626 as well with manual and it says regular.
