This is a fuel supply problem start by checking for pressure at the injector rail if none you will have to check for power at the fuel pump conection at the tank power will only be present when key is in start position if you have power fuel pump is faulty if no power you will have to check the relay and fuel shutoff .there may also be a fuse in the system if blown you will have to dtermin why it failed before just replacing.

99 Oldsmobile alero 2.4 on first try to start my car the engine will crack but its slow and wont catch to make it start, i try again and it starts but it has a bad idle at first. Is this my starter?

Check your battery voltage and make sure it is 12 volts and when running it should read 13,5 volts or higher. The bad idle could be that you need a tune up or you have a bad tank of gas . It wouldn't hurt to put in some fuel injection cleaner. If , when starting, the car makes a clicking sound the battery is low and if it makes a spinning sound it is usually a broken tooth on the starter or flywheel.

My van wont start. its turning over and almost starting but doesnt. last night it did the same thing so i floored the gas. it finally started and almost died but i gave it a lot of gas. after that it was...

Sounds like the Gas filter. Fairly easy fix. Locate gas tank. Follow gas line to engine, about half way usually by back door under the car, drivers side, is the small filter. Take a pic of it. Head over to car parts store. Show them what you need. It only takes a wrench and a bucket to catch a little gas.

Where is the fuel pump relay switch on a 1988 Ford Crown Victoria 5.0

The computer controls the injection of the fuel. If you look at the wiring diagram you will note the bottom 4 pins that are the negative and positive to the left and right injection. Atleast on my 1991 it is .Could be the ecm or computer is sending a false signal or not sending one at all. A sign of this is the fuel pump in the gas tank can be heard and will continue to run as if pressure in the fuel system is not building. Tthe truck want crank as if no fuel. When starter fluid is injected into the Throttle body the egine will start and run untill fluid is used up. It will keep running as long as fluid is added.

Starter Fluid in a 2003 Audi?????

Not sure if there are carbs on car or if it is direct injection. If carbs spray into float chamber(s) if injction I think you will have to spray into cylinders via holes for spark plugs. Pleae note have never used starter fluid on direc t injection my self so I am really not sure if that will work. I assume that you have checked that fuel is getting to engine. Hope this helps.

Where is my fuel pump at? on a 1995 chevy camero 3.4 yes ran the car out of gas put so in wont start now what should i do first

Your fuel pump is in the tank. Turn on the ignition, and listen if you can hear the pump run in the tank. It will only run a few seconds if the engine is not running. You can repeat this several times to prime the fuel injection.

Im getting spark for the plugs and im getting fuel. i even put starter fluid in the intake and gas but it wont start it just turns over and nothing

A 1999 GMC Yukon has a fuel-injected engine. They are known for the fuel injector lines inside the intake plenum to break and flood the engine. If you are pouring starter fluid and gas in the intake you are only making it worse. replace the injector assembly with the "new improved" injector assembly and replace the plugs, then it will probably start.

This subject is covered by GM Technical Service Bulletin No.: 00-06-04-003B

See GM Parts List below. This replacement Injector assembly is now also available in the aftermarket.

Mirage sat idle for 4 month, turns over, gas tank was full, starts with starter fluid but stops in a sew seconds. any ideas?

Igood t sounds like water in the carb, (if it has one) or water in the fuel filter. Remove the fuel line from either the carb or injection system, turn the engine over until you get pure fuel through the line. reconnect, spray the starter fluid and it should go, it will osund rough, but a few good blips on the throttle, should clear the line. Let me know, if that doesn't work I have a few more things to try. Regards Dave

1994 S10 Blazer Tahoe starting problems

Well, obviously someone didn't tell you the truth because spraying into intake doesn't make the vehicle turn over any better. You have ignition or fuel delivery problem. Start by taking fuel line off at intake and crank engine a couple times catching any gas in a cup or something. If none, then trace fuel line back and under vehicle til you find filter. Should be under driverside midway back on inside of frame. Change this and try test again. If no gas, see if fuel pump is on motor(mechanical pump). Change this and test again. If not on motor then it's in gas tank(electric pump). Most cases the tank has to be lowered to take out pump, careful not to drop, dent or make sparks. Some came with access through the floor so check that first. Normally you can hear an electric pump come on when you turn the key. Good Luck

91 Pontiac GP, won't start - gas problem

Yes this is most likely the fuel pump, and here is why, the tiny little pump in your gas tank works really hard, the way it is able to do this is the fuel around it is very efficient at cooling it, if the car is run low on fuel allot and then run out of gas it burns out the pumps bearings which are also cooled and lubed by the gas. Replace the pump and the filter.
