Tow ball weight for 1998 105R SERIES LANDCRUISER toyota

most tow bar specifications state 300-400 kgs is the maximum weight allowed ( best if the toyota is a long wheel base )
if you have something heavy on the bar you should be using load lever stabilizer bars from the bar to the "A" frame of the towed unit
these effectively reduce the weight on the ball by transferring the load to the vans wheels and the toyota front wheels
they reduce sway from uneven roads and passing trucks, improve driving stability on the toyota and reduce the load on the toyota drive tires
you measure the tow ball weight by lifting on the ball coupling of the van
best talk with bar specialist fitting shops and retailers that sell van accessories
don't forget you are legally limited by the weight you can tow by the vehicle towing specifications and for most late vehicle that tops out at 3000kgs --early vehicles it is less than 2000kgs

What is the recommended trailer towing weight (a suitable range would be ideal) for the F-150 4x4 Supercab XLT Triton, 5.4L EFI V8 Engine, with 17" wheels and 145" wheelbase?

Depending on the gear ratio of your vehicle you have a max capacity of 8,500 or 9,500lbs. Your ideal trailer weight for this vehicle I would say is between 5,000 and 8000lbs. For more info on towing Click here.

I want to instal a Reese hitch on my 2000 ford f150 4x4 pickup to tow a popup camper that weights 1550 lbs what hitch should I purchase and what would the toung drop measurement be?

in my opinion ,why not install the biggest one so that you can tow anything in the future because the price difference in buying and installing is verry little. as far as the toung drop after your hitch is mounted on truck just measure camper heigth in comparisom to hitch receiver on truck and buy the correct one

the gvwr is the calculated weight the the truck can carry in the cab and the bed combined, it is not the towing capacity, the towing capacity can be found in your owners manual. I hope this helps you, good luck !

How much weight can an "83" F150 with a 6 cylinder motor pull 99988 miles on engine manual tranny?

This is a very difficult question to answer.

Here is why: Are you pulling a trailer? Bumper mount hitch? Fifth Wheel? Weight distributing hitch? What is the limit on the tires? Is it a big six or a little six? Is this a load in the the bed of a pick-up? Is this a truck camper you are talking about? Are electric brakes involved? Will the frame support the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) (the maximum weight allowed on the frame when new). (I am specifically referring to frame rot or frame and suspension deterioration here!) How is your clutch? Drive shaft?

A major consideration in my mind would be the terrain you expect to be doing this pulling/hauling through. By design, the Ford F-150 is a 1/2 ton truck while the F-250 is considered to be a 3/4 ton truck. This is the limit for what you put in the truck, in the cab, in the tank and in the bed. Towing is an entirely different issue.

My friend, your vehicle is relatively low mileage but it is not in the condition it was in 1983, 27 years ago.

I hope I have helped, not confused you with this question and response.

Fan kicking in too often 1998 f150 4x4 4.6 tow

If the engine is not over heating then it is doing its job. The constant cycling is based on the temp of the air traveling through the radiator and the a/c condenser not the outside temp so much. The start up high rev is just how these clutches work in ford fans. It sounds like it is operating correctly.
