Question about 2004 Acura RSX

1 Answer

Gear won't engage

I got a puncture yesterday while driving and after changing the tyre, went back into the car, but it wouldn't go into gear at all. Before that the only problem I had was it slipping out of 2nd gear. The car was towed to a garage, but I just want to know what it could be before they try anything.

There is probably a problem with the clutch disk or a problem with the fly wheel. you can replace both of them easily and here are some links.

350z 2004 a/t with 120k miles 3 days ago my car overheated but reached just half of the temp gauge and i stopped the car and by the time it went back to normal i turned off the engine to cool down....

I don't think overheating of the engine has much to do with the transmission, either automatic or manual. If you have an automatic transmission, did you check the fluid? Sometimes low fluid stops certain gears from changing, as the torque converter doesn't have enough fluid to pressurize the servos to engage the clutches.

Iam getting a delay of a few seconds whenever i shift between neutral and drive or neutral and reverse on my 2007 nissan tiida cvt transmission.

Have the oil changed and the filter checked . I have a Mitsubishi lancer and it is in good nick but If I apply power before the shift happens it chirps the tyres . have the bands and clutch pack adjusted Run fault codes to check for faulty solenoids and servos.
