Sorry but no listing in my alldata book for this engine ,the V6 engine is showing 64nm if this is any help though

    Settings for 4ZE1 2.6 4 cylinder petrol are as follows.
    1st setting
    Pull down to 58 ft lbs
    2nd step
    pull down to72.3 ft lbs run car till at operating temperature then let cool to dead cold retension head to final setting.
    After 500 to 1000 kms re tension head check all settings

I need the torque setting for my citreon 1.8 16v cylinder head petrol


If you buy head gasket the setting will be included. I believe you will torque to a given torque then tighten a further angle (probably 120degrees.)

Hi I need the torque settings for both the cylinder head and the bottom end bearings for a 1997 Toyota Prado (3.4litre petrol). Thanks


1997 Toyota Prado 5VZ-FE
Cylinder head bolts:

Tighten the cylinder head bolts in criss cross manner inside out, in four stages as under:
Stage 1. Torque the bolts up to 17 Nm.
Stage 2. 34 Nm.
Stage 3. Rotate all the bolts 90 degrees.
Stage 4. Finally rotate all the bolts further 90 degrees.

Main Bearings:
Tighten the main bearing bolts in two stages, as under:
Stage 1. 61 Nm.
Stage 2. Rotate the bolts further 90 degrees.

Big end bearings:
Tighten the big end bolt of connecting rods in two stages as under:
Stage 1. 25 Nm.
Stage 2. Rotate the bolts further 90 degrees.

Cylinder Head Bolts
  • The 10 cylinder-head bolts should be tightened to a torque of 59 to 64 ft-lbs.
Cylinder Head Cover Bolts
  • The 15 cylinder-head cover bolts should be tightened to a torque of 35 to 52 ft-lbs.

TORQUE SETTINGS FOR CYLINDER HEAD ON TD27


not sure what engine this is but if its a diesel cargo or serena with a cast iron head no turbo then around 80lbs ,if a smaller petrol engine with a alloy head then about 60lbs ,personally i never use a torque wrench i do it by experiance and feel ,like feeling for the bolt stretch if this sounds right but ?? you have to do plenty of them to know

Tightening sequence:

Renew cylinder head bolts: Yes
Stage 1 - Tighten: 40 Nm

Stage 2 - Tighten: 60 Nm
Stage 3 - Tighten: 90 degrees
Stage 4 - Tighten: 90 degrees
