Question about 1989 GMC C2500

When i turn on the ignition it blows the blinker fuse I recently had the column replaced could a pinched wire in the column be the problem?

Yes, a pinched wire is a definite possibility.

When I connect the battery the blinkers come on constantly glowing, nothing else works, check the fuses, the alternator fuse is blown, replace that, connect the battery fuse blows again. 2007 solara.

Bad alternator or short in alternator wiring. You much need a wiring diagram. Is that the car? Was in an accident? You may have pinched wiring or a wire shorted to ground. Try new fuse with alternator disconnected, then with key on, connect alternator-watch for sparks, or clicks, -you might want to have the alternator tested, just to be sure. You have to start somewhere...
Maybe a wiring short in the blinker system? Or is the fuse blowing an alternator fuse?

So I have a Saturn ls2 2000 every time I put a 10amp fuse in blinker it blows already changed the blinker multiswitch

Wire is shorted somewhere in the turn signal circuit. Start at the bulb and trace backwards looking for a break in a wire or a pinched wire. These problems are difficult to find and take a lot of time....
Good Luck.
Also. DO NOT TRY A FUSE LARGER THAN 10 AMP unless you want a toasted car...

Ignition fuse switch keeps blowing

you have a short in that circuit chck your harness for wiring that might be exposed to ground or pinched

Brothers truck a 1987 ford f150, the horn and cruise were not functioning and key was not smooth turning from lock to start. Replaced the key ignition, also had removed steering wheel and blinker assembly...

You should replace all the wires that are in that steering column. Use OEM wire harnesses. There is a clock spring wire in that column that is bad, The shift indicator is a clip on a piece of string that moves when the column turns with the shifter.

I have a 2000 ford expedition. Originally the blinker would blink fast if I tilted the steering column down too low. If I raised it, it would blink normally. Tonight the blinkers crapped out all...

sounds like you have a pinched wire inside the column,, or a wire is being stretched and the shielding could have come off and it could have shorted out. if it shorted out - then yes a fuse may be blown or the wire contacts are toasted. check the fuse and trace the wires through the steering column and provide slack where needed.

Fuse blows causing dash instruments to not function

This could be a problem with what he did if the wiring was not correct and he had to replace the head light or any of the wiring harness to make the car like new. There is a short somewhere. It could be that with the accident some wire got trapped in the metal and when they straightend the body they pinched the wire or something to do with the headlight. I would take it back to him and demand that he shows you exactly what he did. Body shops are known for having issues like this and not wanting to take blame fr a problem

That fuse also feeds the A/C compressor. did you check the blower resistor? that is in circut before the blower motor. it may have grounded out. More than likely, your'e going to have to start tracing wires. look for chafed or pinched wires under the dash. Has anyone been in there recently? (if pinched during factory assembly it would likely have shown up a long time ago. Have you added anything new in the past few months? if so it may be shorted. Back to AC... disconnect the compressor and check that no wires have burned onto a hot pipe or manifold, In general most wire problems happen either when someone messes with something or when they touch a hot item and burn through.
