Try plugs and plug wires, changing cap, rotor & coil only amplified your problem. Leads me to believe you have bad plug wires.

Ignition mystery! 1994 GMC Suburban 2500 5.7 mtr. No spark to spark plugs. Have spark from coil to distributor. Have changed coil wire, cap, rotor, ignition module, and coil. have 12.5 volts going to...

I guess you could have the ignition analyzed on an oscilloscope. Maybe a tech could see something then.
I always heard the only gap was the spark plug gap-the rotor has no gap-are you sure you got the correct rotor? And does it touch the top distributor cap coil wire tower?

Let us know. It is a mystery worthy of a solution.

whats probally happening is your getting moister in your rotor cap if they get wet or moist inside theyll miss fire or not run.coil pack could also be getting wet.rotor cap is what your plugwires go into..if its electronic and you have no wires or rotor then your coil pack is getting moist and messing with car

Go to Auto Zone and have the Suburban scanned for DTC codes, Auto Zone scan for free and most Auto shop will do it for $10.00 to $20.00 since they want your business cause they know most large Auto Parts store scan for free.
It sounds like you have a miss fire which can be caused by and O2 sensor or dirty MAF sensor which can be cleaned or time to replace the rotor and cap, plug wire and spark plugs.
Note that the distributor cap and rotor is made of plastic and is know to crack do to time and heat. There is also a rubber valve or screen at the bottom of the distributor that get's dirty and the inside of the distributor collects with condesation and corrode the rotor and caps too.
Good luck and hope this helps, Get it scanned and see if it's a sensor that is causing the miss fire on the hightway. If not then replace the cap and rotor and clean out the distributor if needed. Inspect the plug wire and replace if needed and change the plugs.

Keep me posted. be glad to help you out.
