I have a 92 marquis, and ive just changed out the factory stereo with a aftermarket. How can i hookup the amp that came with the bose system??

If you bought a wiring adapter kit for the aftermarket stereo, the unit should hook up directly to the stock bose system. Note: If there is sound coming from the speakers after installation, the amp IS hooked up...the speaker wiring is routed to the factory amplifier, not the stereo itself, the stereo wiring is just signal leads to the amplifier. In some instances, you may have to connect the amp remote wire to the remote wire coming from the aftermarket stereo(blue wire). I hope this helps. Any other questions, just reply.

Before I post this for you, I just wanted to let you know that you can buy an aftermarket harness that plugs right into your existing harness. Then it allows you to hook up to the wires without cutting your factory wires. They might even have it at Wal-Mart for less than $15. Anyway here are the specs. Don't forget to vote if this helped you out: Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Blue/Yellow
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Gray
Car Radio Ground Wire: Brown
Car Radio Illumination Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amplifier Location: N/A
Car Audio Front Speakers Size: 5 1/4′
Car Audio Front Speakers Location: Doors
Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Pink
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Purple
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Blue
Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: 6′
Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: Rear Door
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Black
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Red
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): White

Aftermarket stereo wiring harness does not fit oem connectors. ordered stereo and harness together fom online car stereo.com. calledout a metra #70-1761. plugs will not fit either male plug. factory plugs...

Theres a standard amongst most stereos, so if these colors apply, then you will be right,
Red is Ignition power
orange is direct power
Black is earth
blue is for phone
White is for electric arial
then there will be four coloured wires with matching color trace wires, these are the speaker wires.
Hope this gets you going, good luck.

1987 S10 Radio plugs cut and gone!! Diagrams?

Blazer: Orange is hot all the time. Ig+ is purple with white tracer, and one of the green ones. Speakers are paired in blues, greens, and then it gets weird, and makes no sense by color. I just take a 9-volt battery, and lightly touch both poles to two wires I know aren't powers or ground, and when you find two that go to the same speaker, and touch the pos. and neg. of the little battery, you will hear a light static at that speaker. THis will tell exactly which speaker you have found wires for. Black is ground of course. Good luck. I like your idea.
