Question about 1998 Volvo S70

1 Answer

I have a 1998 S70 Volvo, with about 153,000 miles. The car seems to skip a little bit just enough to notice when we're traveling on the road, it actually did it as well at a red light today, but its just for a split second. I'm getting concerned because each time we drive the car it seems to happening more and more frequently. Also it seems to happen when the car has been running for 10 minutes or so. Any ideas?

You won't like my answer

If it were my car,I would start to diagnose those
issues after about 2 or 3 days ,of first noticing them

Continue to use it, and as the saying goes,
pay me now or alot later

Odd how every vehicle owner only gets concerned
about two weeks to two months after things start

You car is telling you something and you ignore it

Need a radio code for a 1998 volvo s70

Look in your owners manual usually there is a little card that has the code in there or in the booklet. Otherwise you will have to go to the dealer for the code.

My wife notice a little steam coming from under the hood of her 1998 volvo s70 from the coolant tank it has a new radiator and thermostat what could this be

the coolant tank level rises and lowers according to the temperature of the water when you put a new radiator in you usually fill it right up so the boil off has to go somewhere it should sort itself out in a few days in the meantime just make sure the radiator is full (check it when cold ) and that the coolant tank is within the marking on the tank hope this helps regards Jim

The odometer reading disappeared on my '98 Volvo S70.

Have you found anything out. I brought my volvo in to have the battery replaced and when I picked it up I noticed the odometer was blank (no -----) just blank. I was told it was not related and probably just a bulb. Not a bulb I have no idea. I don't want to replace the cluster unless I'm sure what have you found out. (all my other gauges are fine speed, tach, trip fine)
