1987 toyota camry s/w back left (driver's side) turn signal does not work, bulb and ground are good, front left signal works but flashes fast, rt side signal both working ok. when emg flasher is turned on 2 front and back rt lights work ok but back left still out. Dennis

Circuit/System Description
Ground is applied at all times at G201 to the turn signal/multifunction switch. The turn signal lamps may only be activated with the ignition switch in the ON or START position. When the turn signal/multifunction switch is placed in either the TURN RIGHT or TURN LEFT position, ground is applied to the body control module (BCM) through either the right turn or left turn signal switch signal circuit. The BCM then applies a pulsating voltage to the front and rear turn signal lamps through their respective control circuits.

Did you check the RT STOP TRN fuse 15amp insturment panel fuse box.

If the fuse is good , you could have a wiring problem or the BCM is bad .

If the front and rear bulbs flash fast also, replace the hazard switch or you could live with it. As they are working. If one doesn't work, check grounds. I just run a new ground, much easier than cutting open the harness to find the break.

The first thing to do for your dash lights is to verify the fuses, if ok check your lights dimmer next. Sometimes, dimmers fail to provide good contact due to wear or poor filament contact. Otherwise, there is a poor connection somewhere.
Usually, a rapidly blinking turn signal is due to a burnt bulb on the side in question or a bad ground connection either in the front or the back of the vehicle. Turn the left signal on and check if front and back turn lights are on and working if one doesn't work check the bulb. If it is poorly lit and not blinking check the socket and ground connection.

ater painting , I would be suspecting that a ground point has paint under the contact and is nor making a good ground
also check that the wires are properly connected in the harness

left side flashes, so relay is ok! check for a bad ground or a burnt out bulb. Good-Day! or a faulty bulb socket.

Under the dashboard there is a round metal device called a flasher its where the tick noise comes from when you activate your turn signal I would try replacing that next Good luck

You need to replace the turn signal flasher with a heavy duty one.

get the back working it will no longer fast blink change bulb and check with metre see are you getting power to it also check grounds

Check the front lights. Usually if i flashes fast it indicate a bulb is out on that side.

This typically occurs when a turn signal bulb is out on the side blinking fast.
