Question about 2005 Kia Sedona

Open Question

Where is the ignition failure sensor connector on a 2005 kia sedona? It has no rpms but runs fine. Ran the codes and it comes up with p0320 and p0320 pd. According to www.kiatechinfo.com it is an Ignition failure system circuit malfunction. So we need to know how to get to the ignition failure sensor connector. Thank you for any help.

SOURCE: 2005 Kia Sedona, Trouble Code P0320. Everything I

This is a common problem usually related to the crankshaft position sensor. Before you replace it, disconnect the electrical connector to the CPS sensor and clean it with electrical contact spray and add a dab of dielectrical grease. If the problem continues, replace the CPS sensor. It is easy to replace and is not very expensive. It just bolts to the engine block with one or two bolts. I believe the CPS sensor on the Sedona is behind the timing cover on the front of the engine.

What is the PO320 code? what is wrong with my 2005 Hyundai xg350L?

P0320 Hyundai Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Possible causes
- Faulty Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor
- Faulty Crankshaft Position sensor
- Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor harness is open or shorted
- Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Low battery charge
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)
What about the obd code?
The P0320 Hyundai code is triggered when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that there is no current at the ignition coil group
Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Lack/Loss of Power
- The engine may be harder to start
- The engine may stumble or stall
P0320 Hyundai Description
Ignition failure sensor is used to check whether the spark ignition is occurred correctly or not and also used to tachometer drive. The sensor monitors the voltage difference between a resistance which is on the battery circuit for ignition coil. When the ignition coil works properly, the electric current through the resistance is detected as voltage drop. This is confirmed for every ignition event with the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft sensor. If ECM detects a malfunction, no ignition is possible, so the engine would not start. If there is no ignition signal for a predetermined cycle for one or two ignition coils, an ignition coil circuit failure exists.

Each one of the codes indicate misfire, except p0320.

1. Check IG failure sensor (1) Connect IG failure sensor and PCM connector (2) Engine "ON" (3) Check that RPM meter on instrument panel is operating correctly and the signal waveform of IG failure sensor at terminal 4.

If the problem is corrected, replace PCM and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. NO ??¶ Substitute with a known - good IG failure sensor and check for proper operation. If the problem

My check engine light keeps coming on on my 2004 kia optima lx, 4 cylinder dohc, a little over 92000 miles on it. I had the codes checked and got this result: Code P0320 definition: ignition/distributor...

Check with the place that checked the codes for you. Maybe they can test the IG sensor for you. That might help. Otherwise check all the connections relating to the sensor.

03 Kia -P0320 Ignition/Dist Engine engine Speed Input Circuit Malf. What does that mean?

You most likely have a bad crank or camshaft sensor. Either way it is a bad sensor that is not being read correctly by the computer.
You can go to autozone.com and register for full free online repair manual. It will also tell you exactly what the code is for and what should be replaced.
