This means that this setting is set at the factory and cannot be adjusted in any way. This problem is going to have to be handled by a factory approved Toyota repair shop or a dealer.

Engine light comes on with code p1135 control fuel air metering. how do i fix this?

P1135: A/F Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

Your first O2 sensor is not getting heated either because the wiring to the sensor is bad or the heater inside the sensor is bad. If you have a four cylinder this would be the only O2 sensor you have before the catalyst. I would just replace the sensor, clear the code, and see if it comes back.

Follow the link below for an intense article about P1135 and possible solutions. It sounds like it's most likely an O2 sensor but there are other possibilities.

My check engine light is on and I received code P1135, Manufacturer Control Fuel Air Metering is the defintion of the code. What parts do I need to get to fix problem myself?

Not sure where you got that definition for that code but this is what it is and means with possible causes for whichever motor you have:

  • A/F sensor heater is damaged or has failed

Am getting a trouble code p1135 telling me it is a manufacture controlled fuel air metering code. what is this code and what could be the problem

Hi

Code p1135 = Air-Fuel Sensor Heater Circuit Response Malfunction

This error indicates a failure of his sensor which provided the problem is not caused by bad wiring will need to be replaced. The sensor itself is located in the exhaust manifold near the center.

Cost of the part from a dealer is around $200.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Many Thanks.

Check engine light is on

P1135 bank 1 sensor 1 is your air/fuel sensor upstream (between manifold and engine on the passenger side). It cost about $179 at most reputable auto parts store. You'll want to run the engine for two minutes before attempting to take off the nuts also be careful not to touch the manifold as it will be hot (use a 12mm box end wrench and or a pair of needle nose vise grips or lastly a dremel tool to grind them off). unplug the old sensor plug the new in and install. pull your positive cable off your battery for 5 minutes and then re-connect. your check engine light should be gone. allow your truck to idle for a few minutes and then take a drive. good luck!
