Question about Chevrolet 1500
Check level and color of transmission fluid. Usually should be checked while vehicle is running and warm. If dark in color or smells burnt , it is time for a transmission flush. Its very reasonable at a local lube shop, or you can do it yourself depending on vehicle. Generally you would take the oil pan off the transmission, replace the filter inside, re install pan, and fill the transmission with fresh ATF .
