Does the engine crack when you turn the key?
if it does it is probably not the battery.
You can mesure if the battery is dead. the voltage across the poles should be about 12v, any lower than 8-9v you have a problem.
It does not always mean that you battery is dead. Could also be that it is not charging the battery right. when the engine is running the voltage should be <13.6v and when you rev the engine it sould go up a little bit. If it doesnt, then you alternator is dead.

I just replaced the a/c door actuator on 2002 tahoe. how do I reset it so it recognizes the positions? I disconnected the battery for about 5 minutes but this didn't do it.

Try this:
Alternate Method (w/o Scan Tool)

2. Place the ignition switch to the OFF position.
3. Remove the HVAC/BATT fuse for a minimum of 10 seconds.
4. Install the HVAC/BATT fuse.
5. Start the vehicle.
6. Wait 40 seconds for the HVAC control head to self-calibrate.
7. Verify that no DTCs have set.

Hope this helps.

Won't start twice in a row. Starts/stalls.

Have the fuel system pressure checked especially after you start and stop the engine. If the system loses pressure immediately, you have a problem with loss of residual pressure caused by a check valve or equivalent.

We have a 2002 Grand Cherokee that we have just bought. Dealer installed a brand new battery because of sluggish starts. In a week the battery is acting weak again, sometimes it starts fine, other times...

I was having the same issue with my 95 GMC. I replaced the battery and alternator. It would start fine at times, at other times it would be sluggish. I finally took the starter off and had it checked. Turns out the starter was bad. When it would get hot, it would act as though the battery was dead. Replaced the starter and it has not acted up again. Have the starter checked. Replace if bad.

I have a suzuki liana and have recently had problems when driving either at speeds above 90 or when in a traffic jam and driving below 10km per hr. Car starts to ****, rev counter goes crazy although no...

I'm not sure if it's the same, but I had a recent similar problem with my Liana 1.3 (2002).
The engine just went crazy sometimes, specially when the air was hotter (in Portugal, about 35ºC), and the engine rpm display going from zero to 2000 and back many times.
Went to Suzuki workshop and they had to replace the crankshaft (canbota) position sensor, which took me about 230 euros, with diagnosis and mans work.

Hope it helps.

2002 impala intermitenly wont start

I would clean the battery connecters or possibly change them. How old is the battery? sometimes when battery get old, they have enough juice to crank the motor but not enough to start it..But then again, if it doesn't crank at all sometimes, it could certainly be a bad or loose battery terminals..Start with this since its the simplest and easiest and could very well be your problem. hope this helps
