Question about 2003 Chevrolet Silverado Ss

I.m trying to replace the spark plugs but the casings are stuck and I've only been able to change four of them, how do I remove the other ones?

Pair of long nose pliars and destroy them ,when fitting new ones make sure you lubricate spark plugs with vasoline on teh ceramics this will stop them from sticking again

I have a 1990 ford 460 EFI cylinders 1,2,6 has no change or little in RPM when spark plug wires removed.The three spark plugs has black carbon on them. I replaced them with new ones with new wires.Co


check that the egr valve is not stuck open remove it and cover the hole on the intake side and see if it goes away or with engine running remove the vac line from the valve and install a short length of hose and suck on the hose to draw a vac on the valve it only takes 3-5 inches of vac to open it the engine should stall or run even worse if it is not stuck and if it was stuck open you didnt change anything

How to check fuel pressure


Hi there:


A code P0306 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

  • Faulty spark plug or wire
  • Faulty coil (pack)
  • Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
  • Faulty fuel injector
  • Burned exhaust valve
  • Faulty catalytic converter(s)
  • Running out of fuel
  • Poor compression
  • Defective computer


Possible solutions: If there are no symptoms, the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.

If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable).


Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

I have changed the spark plugs on my 2005 C2 VTS and now when I start the car the engine warning light comes on and it beeps at me. Don't think I've done anything wrong, have checked everythin


try to recheck the spark plug distribution cable arrangement otherwise check your spark plug may be one of it is short or the gap is not proper.

The most common misfire causes on the cars I've worked on have been:

P300 code have changed plugs wires cap rotor map sensor


A P0300 diagnostic code indicates a random or multiple misfire. If the last digit is a number other than zero, it corresponds to the cylinder number that is misfiring. A P0302 code, for example, would tell you cylinder number two is misfiring. Unfortunately, a P0300 doesn't tell you specifically which cylinder(s) is/are mis-firing, nor why.

A code P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Faulty spark plugs or wires
  • Faulty coil (pack)
  • Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
  • Faulty fuel injector(s)
  • Burned exhaust valve
  • Faulty catalytic converter(s)

This has a coil pack and four spark plug wires, correct? If so and you have replaced the spark plug wires and you don't have any spark out number four but you have spark on number one than you have a bad coil. You can remove the number four wire from the coil start the engine. Use. Test light connected to ground and place it near the opening in the coil that the spark plug wire goes into. You should see a sharp strong snappy spark. You may find that you have to hold the test light really close to the metal part inside the oil tower to see any spark. If this is the case you have a bad coil. Be careful when checking for spark. There is between 30 - 40 thousand volts generated but the merge is extremely low. If you get zapped it's going to tickle. Bit but it won't kill you. Good luck and let me know what you find.

How do u change the spark plugs on a 1994 toyota camry


Start with a cool/cold engine.

Four cylinder: Remove spark plug wire boots (four in a row on top of the engine). DO NOT PULL ON THE WIRE only the rubber top. Make sure the wires are numbered, if not, number them. They MUST go back to the same hole they came out of after the new plugs are installed. Remove the spark plugs with a 16mm spark plug wrench. Install new plugs (any auto parts store can tell you what your options are here): Start threading the new plugs by hand so you don't cross thread the engine head by accident. Then complete tightening them gently. Spark plugs are supposed to be tightened to a specific torque: 13ftlbs in this case. If you choose to not use a torque wrench do not overtighten the plugs. Reinstall boots securely.

6-Cylinder: Remove engine cover, if present. Disconnect the six connectors on each of the ignition coils. Remove each of the six ignition coil bolts and then remove the coils by pulling straight up -- arrange them so that you know which goes back where. Remove and install the six plugs as described above. Reinstall the ignition coils with their bolts (torque: 69 in-lbs), then wires. Replace the cover.

2006 3: change spark plugs...


The procedure to replace spark plugs in Mazda -3 2006 model is as follows:--
1)  Start by disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery.
2)  Now remove the black plastic cover from the top of the engine. It snaps into place, so just pull straight up.
3) The four cylindrical gizmo's are the coils which mount directly above the four spark plugs.   
4)  Remove the four bolts (studs) that are securing the coils, and pull the connections straight up off the spark-plugs. Remove the plugs with a deep socket, or spark-plug socket.
5)  You may have to grasp the plugs with a needle nose pliers to get them out after loosening them.
6) Install the new spark plugs in reverse method and refit all the wires and bolts which you removed.

How to change spark plug and tools to used


You will need a 5/8" spark plug socket, a 3/8" ratchet, a 2" X 3/8" extension, a 6"X 3/8" extension, a 3/8" universal joint, and a lot of patience. The spark plugs on an Express are very hard to get to.
First, remove the glove box bezel (the trim around the glove box) by gently prying it off. You may need a small flat-tip screwdriver to do this.
Second, remove the glove box (located underneath the drink holders in the center console beneath the radio), it just snaps in at top.
Third, remove the engine cover. There are four bolts behind the glove box, remove them. Remove the left and right side lower dash panels (they snap in). Release the four clamps, and wiggle and rock the engine cover away from the dash.
Now you get to try to remove the spark plug wires, which will be stuck quite firmly due to the many hours of engine heat. Once you have a wire off, you then have to finagle the spark plug socket onto the plug. You will have to try various combinations of universal/extension/ratchet to accomplish this, and the plugs will be stuck quite firmly as well. Do this one wire/plug at a time.
Gap your replacement plugs to the spec in the owner's manual, usually .060".
Installation is the reverse of removal.

How do I change Spark plugs?


93 park ave has a v8. Four plugs on each side. Followthe spark plugs from top of engine to spark plugs. Use a spark plug wire remover (plastic pliers) to help remove wire from plug. Mark each wire where they go. Go down to auto store and buy pugs and get a swivel spark plug wrench to fit the plugs anduse a extension with rachet to remove plugs (turn counter-clockwise to remove). Replace with new. (new plugs should screw in with fingers, then tighen with socket firmly. Not over tight. I holp this helps a little - ran out of writing space. Good luck
