Question about 1988 Nissan Pathfinder
You need to check the POWER TRANSISTOR. It is near the ignition coil. Make sure ground bolt in the back of the power transistor is clean and making good contact.
Also make sure the connector is clean and naturally is connected. If all OK, star continuity of wire harness testing, to ensure there are no breaks in the line. Check also fusible links. Even if the ignition coil is good, if the power transistor is no good, NO SPARK. Hope that helps!

Suggest you check the fusible links near the postive battery terminal. 2 Are Green 2 Are Orange and I believe one is Grey or Balck. If they seem rubbery, they are burnt out.
Repair as follows. Cut the link off. Purchase a fuse holder 10-30 Amp Max. Replace the cut link with the fuse holder. Insert a 10 AMP fuse. You probably burned the fuse link which powers the injectors.
Before cutting the fuse link check it out with a volt ohm meter to ensure continuity. Good Luck
