Some times the electrical connection is loose so the light will not come on. Try tapping on the switch/light and it just might come back on. I don't know how to replace as I have never had to replace it yet.

Should the steering wheel cruise controls light up at night along with the dash lights? I had a Ford contour and cruise control, window controls, locks, everything lit up.

Yes they should light up at night, the source of the problem is either the tiny miniature bulbs are burned out or the Rotating contact ribbon (known as the Clock Spring) under the steering wheel is defective and the lights are not getting any power.

How do I change the light bulb in the steering

Pull the steering wheel buttons straight out of the steering wheel. I used a pick that was shaped like an "L". unplug the the button from the wire on the back of it. There isn't much room to work on it but it can be done. Then take the button appart, and FYI this is not a simple plug a new bulb in project. Find the burnt out bulb and desoder it from the board. Now you have to choose, you can either replace with same filiment type bulb that will burn out again soon or you can try your hand at fitting and sodering an LED in there. It can be done I did it. If you do use an led you need a multi meter to find the electrical current direction. You also must use an resister in line with the LED. You can find these on the web for a dime a dozen, I used 3mm 1500mcd and they came with the resisters (FYI they are too bright, go for a lower mcd like 800-1000). Soder in the light you choose, put back together and replace in the truck and your done. Now show all your friends what you did.

Fix lights in steering wheel - 04 DeVille

Steering wheel lights do not have bulbs you can change. The switch is a sealed asembly with an integral light. Each one costs around $110 at the dealership.

Heated seats have wires inside a fabric cover located betwwen the outside seat skin and the inner foam. Over time, they burn out. You can buy replacements from the dealer and have either them or an upholstery shop install them.

Steering wheel radio control bulbs

My bulbs are also burned out. The bulbs are not replaceable, you must replace the whole switch assy. The switches do come apart, but it is next to impossible to find a lamp that small and mounted like they are on the circuit board inside.
