Question about 1998 Jeep Wrangler
Just a few things to check...... Is there oil pressure showing when you crank the motor? Some of the computer systems will cut power to the igntion system if no pressure is sensed, the sender may be faulty.
They are also known to corrode inside the battery cables which would cause many odd things, as you stated when you disconnect & reconnect the battery it works= check these good. also is the battery ok?
Another possibilty is the igntion switch is faulty. Hope this will lead you to the cause.
