A/C not working, just stoped as I was driving, and started blowing warm air. Got home and the copressor wasn't turning checked the fuse, good, checked the voltage at compressor, not good, took the car to A/C shop and was told (for a fee of 78.00) that the cars computer was not alowing the A/C to work for some reason and they suggest replacing the computer, Is this really the deal, the computer is expensive?

    AC started to blow warm air. The next day worked fine. I took it to the repair shop.They put freeon and fixed a pin hole leak. It is now making a noise and blowing hot air . . The repair man said I need a new compressor. Please advise. He said a new compressor would cost $600.00

    Had the same problem just a few days ago. My air just stopped working. There is no sign of oily leaks around refridgerate lines going in and out. The air was cold one minute then turned warm. Typically if there was a leak the air slowly gets warmer over weeks pending on if you are losing refridgerate and how large the leak. I'm no expert but would like to fix this myself if no refridgerate work is needed. How do you know if it is the clutch or compressor or just a switch?

Have the AC compressor cycling switch tested, it is in the low side (large Line) coming off the AC compressor, it may be stuck, this is very common.

AC isn't working
when a fuse keeps blowing it can only be one of two causes. either the consumer is loading the circuit too much due to a bearing problem or rusty component, or there could be a short circuit to ground. disconnect the blower motor plug connector and turn your a/c on like normal. if it blows the fuse again, replace the blower fan motor. if not, start checking the wiring for any exposed copper that might touch the ground-negative.also inspect all the plug connectors for water damage and corrosion.

Power windows stoped working
It could be a few things:
  • First, if you have a window disable switch next to the driver's side controls, check to make sure that wasn't turned on.
  • If that's not it, check the fuse.
  • If the fuse is good. Are all four windows not working. It could be the drivers switch if all four windows are not working. If it's just a single window, it could be the switch on that door.
  • Next option if all the switches are good is a bad motor.

The compressor was running full time when the air bag was blown out. It probably fired the compressor. They are designed to run intermittently.

Aircondition not working....just blowing warm air.....fan is working
Either you are out of coolent or the compressor is not working.

First check the fuses, then lift the hood and have a friend turn the air on. The compressor should cycle, if not take it to a mechanic. If it does cycle you are low on freon, take it to a mechanic for a system charge. Make sure they check for leaks first.
