SOURCE: 1997 Yukon Power Steering pump

You will need an assortment of metric sockets and a rachet you will also need a pulley remover and installer your local auto parts store should have a puller and installer you can borrow. Make sure you bleed the new pump before you start the truck. You can do this after the resovoir is connected and has oil in it the rotate the pulley by hand.

I have a 2002 Denali pickup with quad-steer and the steering wheel is very hard to turn to the right. I have switched to 2 steer and have the same problem. Could it be the steer box or the pwr steering...

it should have a pump is there any whining noise when steering if so ad power steering fluid and check for leaks your owners manual will tell you what fluid and the pump will be on the front side of engine

Very hard to steer wheel in my 2003 gmc yukon and there is plenty of steering fuid in it

Turn car off - Remove power steering cap, and turn streering wheel hard right or left and fluid should pour out (cover surroundings with rags.) If so, check your power steering pump.

Where is the ac compressor belt located?

The A/C compressor belt is integrated with the serpentine belt also. The serpentine belt runs the A/C compressor, water pump, power steering pump, and alternator. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Check to see if the power steering pump is still turning. If you have a broken drive belt (serpentine belt or "fan" belt), and the pump doesn't turn, you have no power assist. If the pump is still turning, check the fluid level in the reservoir.
