My Accent does the same thing, however when it stalls (say at a traffic light) and I put it in park, it takes anywhere from instantaneous to up to an hour before I am able to start it again. It is NOT overheating!! What's wrong? Any help anyone?

I had the sae type of problem my car would turn off when I slowed down and the only way I could turn it back on was to put it back in park and turn the car back on.

The problem was fixed when I took it to the Hyundai Dealership they replaced 3 sensors for about 700$ (I believe they were the throtle, the oxegen/gas mix sensor, and somethin eles I dont remember)

Hope that helps!

2005 suzuki aerio runs great, starting problems though

surely you know your starters normal sound, no?

.25 means 250 rpm (dial .25x 1000 = 250)
Most cars do near 300, but gee, in alaska its less and starts. so....
there are vast reasons for non starts.
from water in a cylinder
to weak battery.
weak spark
bad fueling (excess or not enough)
to never doing a tune up ever, that you?
This car has OBD2, if a scan tool is attached, you can
check to see if water temp, is the same as outdoors, on first start.
if the temp shows, say -20F at 70F outdoors, the ECT is bad.
this would cause flooding.
what can you do, plenty of willing to own tools, are you. or do you like to guess?
compression good.
battery good, try a barrowed good battery that measure 12.6vdc rested.
put in new spark plugs, using under hood sticker stated gaps.
does the car start good on test fuel? with the fuel pump relay pulled.
yes, then motor and spark is good, and fueling is bad.
(too much or too little) ill stop here, but you can see where im going.

My starters keep burning up, non toyota starter. now the engine sputter once in a while. seem like maybe fuel pumd, maybe coil. idk

I have that problem with the starters, too. The aftermarket starters are poor, apparently. Could also be an exhaust leak close to the starter causing it to get a little too much heat. When you put in a new starter, does it have any trouble turning the car over?

For the other problem, when does it do it? In the middle of a very long ride (1 hour?) or normal driving? when cold or when hot?

Remote starter on a 2004 Accord with V6 engine

remote starter is designed to shut down the vehicle if there is no key to drive with. This is a security feature so that unauthorzed drivers cannot steal it. to answer second question the purpose of remote starters is to allow you to heat up the vehicle so it is an ice cube when you are ready to drive. Not sure what remote I cannot answer the horn question. Need more on what remote starter you have model number and make

1985.5 PORSCHE 944 digital clock (changing time)

There are three buttons, let's call them 1, 2, and 3, from left to right.

Clock

button (2) depressed for 4 seconds -12 AM, PM
or 24.00 flashing. After pushing button (1), either
a 12-hour (AM + PM) or a 24-hour setting

change the display mode, push button (3). The
clock then returns to its normal timekeeping
function.

B. Hours
Push button (2) a second time - hour display
flashes. Set hour by pushing button (1). After
pushing button (3)*, the clock returns to the time
readout mode with new hour setting.

C. Minutes
Push button (2) once more - minute display
flashes. Set minute by pushing button (1). Upon
pushing button (3)*, the clock is started -
accurate to within 1 second.

Stop watch function
The stop watch can only be set in motion if the
clock is in its normal timekeeping mode and not
during setting operations.

2000 Ford windstar will not restart after shut off from running

Mine only flashes when I start the engine. Once I place it in drive it stops and operates normally. This includes up and down shiftsing. If I place the tranny uner a load when the light is flashing (it flashes for about 10 secinds then it will chatter.
Maybe its a clogged transmission filter? Obviously is a fluid pressure problem. I drove it 5000 miles with this problem and it seems to not affected the tranny. Some folks talk about the Neutral Start switch. with 185K and a rebuilt tranny at 120K I am not going to invest $3000 to replace it

That means the transmission is going into Limp mode - something's wrong that is making the car believe it can be damaged by the speeds the upper gears will allow you to reach. For starters, check the fluid level (or just change it - it's not a bad idea), and disconnect the battery for an hour or so to put the ECU into relearn mode - this will clear current fault codes and allow you a fresh start to see if the condition reappears, or if it was a fluke failure of some part that caused the car to repeatedly go into limp mode.

it's normal the car has an automatic 2 hour clock timer. This means you have had the ignition on for atleast 2 hours or been driving for 2 hours. I guess it could mean take a break it's been 2 hours of driving?
