Check fuel pressure most likely bad fuel pump. also check your oil sending unit or gauge. chevys run the fuel relay to the oil pressure switch in case the oil is so low the car wont start. sometimes the relay in between this circuit goes bad as well. if all is well check or replace the ignition module (located directly under coils) or distributor integrated if it has a distributor

I have a 1992 chevy lumina 3.4L engine and I had to replace the starter. I am putting the starter in and I need to know how many wires to hook up? My dad thinks there's a wire missing.

Dual overhead cam (euro)?

the small purple wire will go to the small terminal on the starter. there should be 3-4 other wires that attached to the large terminal of the starter.

Overheated , now a leak, dead battery, intake gasket, !!!

Could be the intake manifold gasket leak is upsetting the manifold vacumn which in turn will have an effect on the idling adjustments. The extra drag of the Auto Trans wnen engaged may cause the engine to 'cut-out'. Fix the manifold gasket first, re-adjust the idle, then see what you find.

I have a 1992 chevy lumina z34, its not getting fuel to the injectors or the injectors or opening. I have fuel pressure. up to where you check for pressure on the fuel rail. it just died when I was driving...

Have you checked that engine oil level is okay, if so check that oil pressure switch is good. The switch is usually bypassed to start the engine, but it won't run with no oil pressure indicated...hope this helps

'93 chevy lumina euro dies when given gas

Is yourd check engine light on? If it is, I would have the codes read first thing. If not, it could be clogged fuel filter or air filter, loose vacuum hose, or bad throttle position sensor or other sensor but the sensors or any electrical problem will set off check engine light.
