Check your wire harness to the affected cylinders to make sure they are not shorted to power causing the injectors to stay open flooding the cylinders ! Its also possible that they are bad and need to be replaced ! Start by unplugging the affected cylinders injectors and see if it continues - if it does the injectors are stuck open - if not aquire a noide light and plug it in to the affected cylinder injector plug and turn key on - the light should be off - if its on then you have a short to power in the harness or pcm driver for the ijectors ! Start by tracing the harness back to bulk head or pcm if in engine compartment and inspect for a damaged harness !

My motor runs very rough even with new spark plugs,, is there anything else I should check? and is it common for a headgasket to leak at 107 000km?

if the engine runs rough after spark plug replacement, you may have a clogged fuel injector perhaps. i would suggest that you purchase lucas fuel injector cleaner and add it to your gas. you may have also just bought some bad gas. if you suspect that, just add 1 bottle of clear rubbing alcohol{not green} clear rubbing alcohol to your gas tank.this will dry up any water thats in your will not affect the engine at all. as for your head gasket, its something you cannot predict any mileage on,but you can prevent it by not letting your engine overheat. never run your engine hot. always keep your collant full.if you suspect a blown head gasket, here are some signs of a blown head gasket. oil in the coolant, coolant mixed in your engine oil{when you pull the engine dipstick out,it appears muddy looking, coolant coming out of your exhaust pipe.these are quite a few examples of a blown head gasket. hope this helps and thank you for choosing

I have 2002 buick century that we installed a new head gasket. When i got the car back, it hesitate and does not want to go over 30 or so miles per hour. The car has new fuel filter, new power packs, new...

If the engine has an overhead camshaft it is possible the valve timing is incorrect and that should be the first thing to check followed by compressions and a cylinder leakage check -carelessness during reassembly could damage the valves.

Once you are certain the engine is in good order and properly timed it would be wise to ensure the fuel pressures and delivery volume are correct and no forgotten rags are still plugging the intake.

If the head gasket failure was total and the engine drank all of the coolant you should suspect the CAT might be strangling the flow of exhaust gas and if that is the case it won't have done the oxygen sensor much good either...

My engine coolant has a gas smell ? Just had a brand new radiator installed and thermostat and also replaced spark plugs and coils. 2000 ford f-150 v-8 5.4 liter

Your head may be leaking exhaust into your coolant during the compression stroke. Have you had new heads installed or maybe an overhaul? Has your Truck been overheating lately? This can be a sign of failing head gaskets since gas only enters through the carburetor or injectors.
