My 2005 4L80e poped out of drive at 65 mph and now it does not go into drive and it goes to idle and coasts when I let off the gas.

Here's what my problem was in my '93 GMC when this happened.. A speed sensor was faulty.. The dealership hooked me to their computer and they had the answer right away.. They changed the sensor (not a big deal) and it's worked perfectly since.

My 1997 gmc 2500 4x4 5.8 engine with a 4L80E tranmission was rebilt 2 years ago 25000 miles shifts hard 1st to 2nd and no codes my shift cable is broken if you shift it manuley its good but wont come out...

first thing to do make sure that you can fix the cable first before you proceed to another problem .. it will hard to shift if there is problem with the cable .. but in this situation .. did you check the trans . oil good or bad oil...like smell burned oil.. and if you shift manually its fine .. it might be the problem came on with the manifold pressure switch on the valve body..

The fuel pressure needs to be check the 1999 GMC Jimmys has a most popular fuel pressure problem the fuel pressure must be percise and its return line wich is vacuum control has a high tendency for failure you best bet is fuel pump with a filter and the pressure regulator

I want to swap a 700r-4 to a 4l80e.

Well, you will need the computer that controls the 4L80E because it is shifted electronically as the 700 is not - it is hydraulic. I think if you have both trucks, you swap wiring harnesses and such and it would work out.

Or you could buy a module just for working the trans but I think they are expensive.

4L80E trans harsh and late upshifts

Found trans to be a mis build,, had a rear planetary with no reluctor ring for the output speed sensor ,, sensor was picking up a false signal from moving internals. This caused a gear ratio error, wich defaulted the trans and was not contolling the pressure, default pressure went high causing late and harsh shifts .
