Question about Saturn L300
What is the basis for determining it is the fuel pump? If it is a fuel system pressure loss, that is probably a good diagnosis, provided that the fuel pump relay is confirmed to be on (voltage present on the fuel pump). I had a vehicle with throttle body fuel injection that did the same thing. I tracked it down to the fuel injector driver transistor inside the ECM - one of the leads inside would open when the transistor got warm.
Fuel pumps cost $60-$350. The lowest price I've found was on the Amazon website. Most of them are listed above $240. Note: GM used mostly Delphi parts (typically $240). At that price, it pays to be sure you have the right diagnosis. Ask questions...
