this is the drive gear position with the overdrive being part of the transmission drive gear when the car is driven over a pre-determined speed,it goes into the overdrive function.
Im guessing you need to replace the gear on the camshaft position sensor! it also drives the oil pump. its a common failure its made of plastic or fiber. im sure you also have a camshaft position sensor code. replace that gear and hopefully your motor is ok! good luck!
my car will go into drive and reverse while parked, but when i am driving it it does not want to go into gear. my car jumps into gear when i am driving.
You transmission is stuck in 4th gear. If you dreive in D this will allways happen. If your drive in the D with a circle around it thats over dirve and has the 5th gear u need. If its still not shifting in OD then your OD is bad
I have a 2001 ford taurus and i have transmission fluid leaking on ground when it runs. i was driving it today and it would not shift gears. Then when i got home i saw transmission fuild in the ground.
