Can you please clarify the problem here, you say key FOB then you mention something about the TPS (tire pressure sensors) these two parts are not related in function or system, can you please clarify this.

A few more questions, do you have 2 key FOB's? if so do both do the same thing? Have you checked the itre pressures, including the mini spare tire? are they all at at least 30-32 PSI?

I have performed more research on this issue, the tire monitor and key Fob signals come in through the same antenna, this antenna has a problem and it has been updated with a new part number, the description of the problem and the fix are contained in GM Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 07-08-52-001B. Here is the part you won't like, the part must be installed and then the system re-calibrated or the module will not pick up the signals from the Key FOB or the tire pressure monitors. It took a while to find this information so sorry for the delay. You will need to take this to the local GM dealer for repair, you have no choice if you want the system fixed. This is not a Recall so it will be a pay repair.

Open the key fob and inspect the circuit board with a magnifying glass to make sure there are no cracks in the antenna trace (look for a zig-zag pattern). Also make sure the battery contacts are clean; you can polish them with a pencil eraser if necessary. If you find a crack in the circuit board, you can repair the crack with epoxy (use a toothpick to apply). Once the epoxy is set, scrape off a little bit of the green solder mask on each side of the crack, then solder a fine (no wider than the the trace) wire across the crack. When you do this, make sure you touch both battery contacts with your fingers and the tools before applying them to the circuit board. This will discharge any static electricity you may have on you so you won't zap the electronics. Do not work on a plastic surface; static charges build up very easily on these.

The anntenna for the car radio may have been connected to an aftermarket radio and when this happens thiers too strong a ground on the annetenna wire to let the signal get to the door unlocker circuits unless the fob signal is rea strong unplug the annetenna wire from the radio and see if it works like it's supposed to as baby GM don't like their cars messed with and this is one of the ways they keep you from doing it.

Is the antenna in the rear window, or a mast or is the rear window tinted? The heater ( defrost ) can cross with the antenna and you might have issues with AM radio reception bu the FM might not be effected.

2006 chevy monte carlo 3.5 v6 tps replacement

A THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS) is usually located on the butterfly spindle so that it can directly monitor the position of the throttle valve butterfly.
Throttle actuator control(TAC), that code comes from that part of the system too.

2006 chevy uplander 2wd shakes at all speeds while accelerating and abs light as well as service engine light and low battery key fob lights too. dealer says tires have flat spots, firestone says tires are...

apart from trading it in for a new model you could try changing the back wheels for the front wheels and see if this cures the wobble.the car battery is fine if its starting ok so leave that well alone as no doubt the firestone have a special on the batteries where the mechanic gets so many cans of beer for each battery sold .forget the service engine light thats their to make you take vehicle to dealer to have it done to put the light out ,change the battery in the key fob but be warned this vehicle has to be put on the dealer diagnostic machine to reset ,another wheeze to keep the dealers in business so use another battery with the wires on to hook into contacts on the key fob before you change the battery ,save about 80 euros + labour .now the ABS light ??? thinking ,could be lots of things but here you may need a local mechanic to have a look for you as the cause could be sensor on a wheel or the wheel bearing as the modern motor uses a gray paste on the back of the wheel bearing instead of a metal ring with teeth and this paste/paint can get damaged by a twig or plastic bag getting caught behind the bearing rubbing it off ,i have the teashirt for this so dont ask.see how you get on and if you need anything else just answer the reply

The abs and trac lights stay on when the engine is running. how do I fix the problem ?

Something as simple as a different tire size can cause the abs to go nuts. I even had it where the two tires were the same size. But a different brand name. Each manufacture has their own tire sizing so not all tires a equal in size. Even though it says on the side of the tire that they are the same size.

Sometimes the cooper inside the insulation of the wires going to the sensors corrodes. Especially on the front units. It reads more ohms than normal but not open and is very intermittent. However moving the wires my make it work for a while. That's why replacing bearings seems to fix the problem but it comes back after a while.

You can test the speed sensors yourself...
Front sensor specs:
956 to 1240 ohms in 41 to 110 degree weather
at least 100mV AC (NOT DC!) volts when hub is spun by hand
Rear sensor specs:
950 to 1300 ohms in 41 to 110 degree weather
At least 100mV AC (NOT DC!) volts when hub is spun by hand

Here is some information from service bulletins that could be related to the problem. The traction control, antilock brakes, and tire inflation monitor all use wheel speed sensor input.

This first bulletin seems like it could be the problem because engine movement is involved:

GM Corporate Bulletin 00-06-04-049B
This Bulletin covers a problem that can cause multiple failures, one of which is an Antilock brake problem, and covers 2000-2003 Impala and Monte Carlo built prior to 2/03.
Check to make sure the wiring harness adjacent to the AC accumulator/dryer is not rubbing against the ac accumulator chaffing through the insulation of the wires in the harness.

GM Corporate Bulletin 03-05-25-008 overview:
GM front wheel speed sensor harness replacement - 2001-2003 Buick Century, Regal; 2001-2003 Chevrolet Impala, Monte Carlo; 2001-2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue; 2001-2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
This bulletin is about inspecting the harness going to the front wheel speed sensor for wear from contact with front suspension parts.
Repair harnesses/leads are available that can be spiced onto the main harness.
